Trinity Bellwoods park is a large greenspace on Queen Street West in Toronto at Strachan Ave.  The park is busy year round but in summer it is a vital community space for sports, relaxing, meeting friends and exercising pets.

For some the park may be a summer home.

Ice cream and coffee are favourites on a warm summer evening.

Queen West is home to many eclectic shops and boutiques, some cater to artists and designers.

Something for everyone.

Nestled above this venerable record shop is a hidden fortress of underground film and counterculture.  Dare we enter?

Mountain biking is a fun way to get outside and enjoy nature.  Some of the trails offer smooth rides for the youngsters and challenges for the older kids.

Panning is a fun photographic technique that requires lots of practice to perfect.

(I think I need more practice)

Burlington is home to about 150,000 and is located on the North shore of Lake Ontario, about half way between Toronto and Niagara Falls.  Here is city hall.

Downtown Burlington has boutiques, cafes and restaurants, all very close to the waterfront.

The Burlington Performing Arts center in the background is the place to see live music, theatre, dance etc.

Recently a new pier was built at the East end of Spencer Smith park.

Lakeside restaurants and motels

There is an old Village centre that houses salons, restaurants and specialty stores.

At the West end of the park are Joseph Brant museum and the Burlington Skyway

The Burlington waterfront has a long boardwalk and a waterfront restaurant/waterpark

The Sound of Music Festival is a live music event held on Father’s Day weekend each year at the Waterfront
